Solution focused brief therapy (SFBT), often referred to as simply 'solution focused therapy' or 'brief therapy', is a type of talking therapy that is based upon social constructionist philosophy. Neurotherapy is a form of treatment that works by teaching you to produce more optimal EEG patterns using positive reinforcement. During a neurofeedback session you will be connected to a wearable EEG sensors that measures your brain activity - your brain waves. The sensors are connected to a computer or mobile device, and the EEG signals are used to control a simple computer game, or the features of a guided meditation etc.
This provides feedback about your brain’s activity. When your brain produces more optimal activity the you are rewarded for successfully changing your EEG or producing certain brain waves.
Who Can Benefit From Neurotherapy?
Neurotherapy can be used to improve a wide variety of symptoms in people of all ages, including anxiety, depression, stress, attention, insomnia, chronic pain, substance abuse, stress, headaches, trauma and brain injury.
